MY COMMISSION PROCESS
How It Works
STEP 1
SIGN UP TO MY COMMISSION WAITLIST
Due to the high level of enquiries and my commission spaces being limited - each portrait can take up to 50 hours to complete. I ask those wishing to commission me to sign up to my waitlist. When spaces become available you will be sent an email inviting you to book a space.
STEP 2
BOOK YOUR PLACE
Once I have commission spaces available I send out an email to those on my waitlist. Booking is on a first come first served basis and spaces usually go like hot cakes so make sure you book your place quickly. A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking, with a further 30% due on your commission start date and the rest payable on completion.
STEP 3
SEND ME YOUR PHOTO'S
In order to create a highly realistic portrait I need good quality photos, please see the photo guidance for more information on this.

Please send as many good photos as your are able to and together we will pick which one we will use.
Many portraits I do are memorial portraits. If you only have poor quality photos, please get in touch before you book to see if It would be possible to still work from your photos
STEP 4
I GET DRAWING
Once we have agreed on which reference photo to use and the composition, I get down to work creating your portrait.
The process itself can take several weeks due to the highly detailed nature of my art.
I will keep you updated throughout.
I use only the highest quality professional artist grade materials with a high level of lightfastness so that your portrait will keep its beauty for years to come.
STEP 5
YOUR PORTRAIT IS MOUNTED AND SHIPPED
Once your portrait is complete it will be mounted on high quality mount board and packaged and shipped with the utmost care. The cost of mounting, packaging and shipping is included in the price of your commission within the UK, however there will be a charge for shipping outside of the UK.
More About Commissions
I work solely from photographs so I have included a photo guide to help you select your submissions to me. All commissioned portraits will be drawn from your photo. It will be the head and neck of your beautiful pet unless you have specified otherwise - do bear in mind this could incur a price change. For more than one pet, you will need to select a larger sized piece, please see my price list above for guidance. The largest size can take four pets comfortably but if you have something else in mind, I would love to chat to you about it. The completed piece will be detailed and realistic, it will also last for many years for your enjoyment. Your piece will be drawn on either pastel mat or drafting film, both archival, stable surfaces,  unless I feel it would be more suited to something other than these. It will also be professionally mounted, ready for you to frame. I am always happy to discuss your portrait requirements, so please get in touch.
